About This Release
Unity is in the name here at Pangea Recordings, and it was only fitting that the UK's Tim French deliver a package with exactly that title to us here. With a recent number 1 release on Beatport, as well as a slough of releases on quality labels, saying Tim French is anything less than hot right now would not be giving him his due. Tim puts his heart into his music, and easily manages to stand out with his blend of warm chords, energetic bass lines and quality work on the mixing board.
Catalog number PANGE123, released 27 July 2023, the EP is built around four distinct interpretations of the same record — a progressive house original and three remixes that take the source material in different directions.
The Original Mix sets the tone with warm chords, energetic bass and patient progression at 122 BPM — classic Tim French territory built for late-night progressive sets. The DJ Samer Remix pushes into melodic house & techno at 126 BPM, deepening the groove and reframing the original around a darker, club-ready pulse. Pablo Gargano's Remix — later selected by DJ Samer as the opening track of Pangea Podcast 111 — brings a progressive veteran's touch with extended momentum and layered atmospherics. Closing the package, Phil Jubb's Remix delivers a standout breaks-driven interpretation, expanding the EP's reach into a different corner of the dance floor.

Tim French
A veteran progressive and melodic house DJ/producer based in Plymouth, UK, Tim French has developed a sound best described as energetic and pulsating, yet also brooding and deep. His releases have appeared on respected labels including Hooj Choons, Stripped Recordings, Stripped Digital, Forensic Records, Lost Language, Voodoo & Prayers and Pangea Recordings.
Pangea tends to find artists as they are moving from strength to strength, and Tim French is no exception. With Unity, his catalog with the label deepens — following on from his earlier Pangea releases including Tier 2, and continuing into more recent tracks like Veritas (Truth) on Stripped Digital.

Label boss and founder of Pangea Recordings, Samer Salhab — known as DJ Samer — is widely regarded as one of America's leading progressive house DJs and a key tastemaker in the global underground dance music community. Pablo Gargano
A progressive house veteran with releases across multiple underground labels, Pablo Gargano brings a patient, layered approach to remixing — the kind of extended, atmospheric work that lives in the deep middle hours of a DJ set. His Unity remix was featured as the opening track of Pangea Recordings Podcast 111 in April 2023.
Phil Jubb
UK-based DJ and producer known for his work across breaks, progressive, and melodic territory.
